A competitive gymnast from age 8 to 18 in Texas and Colorado, John competed in Men’s all around events and Trampoline thru the state level in Texas. During this time John spent all his available time started coaching boys and girls gymnastics in tumbling and trampoline at the ripe age 14 for 3 years. At 17 John was coaching competition teams and recreational classes in all aspects of the sport. A seasoned gymnast and well traveled coach, John understand the inside and outside of competitive sport in Texas, Colorado, California and Michigan. John was also co-owner of Thumb Gymnastics and Recreation Center, in Cass City, Michigan operating and coaching Boys and Girls recreational classes, and competition gymnastics & tumbling teams. In 1990 I with the approval of the Cass City School Board, John reinstated the High School Girls Competition Gymnastics Team and has been Head Coach and been instrumental in it’s on going advancement thru the present.
In June 2015 John was invited and honored to become part of the coaching staff at the newly formed Thumb Tumblers Gymnastics in Cass City coaching Girls competition team and Boys tumbling & mini tramp.
